Math Tutor Direct was founded in 2018. Due to Covid the model became virtual in 2020 with the goal of making quality maths tutoring accessible to all by overcoming the limitations of busy schedules and transportation.
Maths Tutor Direct deliver high quality, professional, well-structured maths tutoring programs for students studying Key Stage 2 all the way through to A Level in the comfort of their own home.
At Maths Tutor Direct, we understand that when you hire a private tutor, you are making an investment in your child’s education. Once that investment is made you want to know that the tutor is well qualified, both in their subject knowledge and as a passionate and inspiring educator. You also want to know that the tutor helps students achieve academically.
Traditional in-person tutoring has its limitations. Due to time restraints of usable workspaces, travel time, and unexpected schedule conflicts, the effectiveness and needed consistency can be lost. Online tutoring provides the necessary flexibility and is an amazing educational support when it is tailored to a student’s needs and goals. Where traditional tutoring may include textbooks, worksheets, and loose papers, virtual tutoring allows for interactive tools and a more organised work product.
With Math Tutor Direct, a link is provided upon booking and then the student simply joins the live Zoom session at the scheduled time. In this video conferencing platform, the student and tutor are able to share files, collaborate on documents, and work together in real-time just as they would in-person. Zoom is easy to use and can be accessed with a variety of devices.
Our tutors are all qualified teachers who are experts in their field. Our tutors have experience at working with students virtually to increase awareness & knowledge, alongside building confidence in maths before ultimately helping them reach their goals in future exams. The objective of our interactive online sessions is to enable students to improve on their understanding as well as build learning power in mathematics ahead of those all-important exams.
