Mr Adrian Thomas

Mr Thomas is a dynamic and engaging secondary school Maths Specialist, who is in his 16th year of teaching. He has a proven track record of achieving excellent results alongside a great style of teaching to enable the progress of all students!

Mr Thomas is energetic, results focused & has the ability to make even the most difficult topics easy to understand. Differentiation is used for students of different abilities in his small group sessions and Mr Thomas has a unique style to engage students and increase their subject confidence.

Mr Thomas specialises in GCSE Higher Tier to help students on that all important build up to their GCSE’s.

Mr Marc Johnson

Mr Johnson has over 24 years’ experience of teaching and leading in both the UK and more recently internationally at a British curriculum secondary school in Qatar. In both countries, Mr Johnson has worked as Head of Sixth Form and taught Mathematics from Years 7-11, up to GCSE/IGCSE level.

Through both his academic and pastoral roles, Mr Johnson has always been motivated in providing opportunities for all students to achieve their best in overcoming any barriers to their studies. Where students find elements of Mathematics challenging, Mr Johnson provides differentiated activities and targeted questioning to enhance student confidence in effectively applying knowledge and understanding to multiple topic areas with growing independence. Focused, individual support is utilised, where any students require consolidation to further their progress in Mathematics.

Mr Johnson specialises in GCSE Foundation Tier. 

Mrs Lyn Anderson

Mrs Anderson is a passionate and driven Mathematician who has a Maths Degree (University of Bath) as well as a MA (Ed) in Maths Education (Distinction).

Mrs Anderson is a true expert in her field with 18 years’ experience as a Specialist Maths Teacher. She spent the first 6 years of her career in KS2, as a Maths Manager. In more recent years she has been teaching maths in KS3 & KS4. This wealth of experience enables Mrs Anderson to break down difficult topics, as well as fully understand primary techniques.

Mrs Anderson also has years of tutoring experience, and has taught both individuals and groups
online. A truly engaging teacher who makes maths fun!

Mrs Lyn Anderson specialises in Key Stage 3 & Key Stage 4/ GCSE Foundation.

Mrs Johnson 

Mrs Johnson has over 18 years’ experience of teaching and leading in both the UK and internationally. She has been involved in the leadership of maths for over 12 years, including in her most recent role as Deputy Head of Primary, at a British international school in Qatar. She also completed the Post Graduate Certificate in Specialist Primary Mathematics in 2012. Mrs Johnson is passionate about making maths make sense to children. She is a firm advocate of the Concrete Pictorial Abstract approach in the teaching of maths and has written blogs to support both parents and teachers. In addition to this, she also makes maths videos and her Maths 4 Kids facebook page and YouTube channel have a combined following of over 71,000 parents and teachers.

Mrs Johnson specialises in Key Stage 2 tuition and 11+ exam preparation.

Mr Eastes

Mr Eastes is a successful former Deputy Headteacher and teacher with over 12 years teaching experience. His practice focuses on academic success going hand-in-hand with raising self-esteem and confidence as his mantra is that ‘happy children make happy learners’. With years of experience in both Year 2 and Year 6 classes and leading whole school initiatives to improve progress and close the gaps in learning, Mr Eastes is a passionate and enthusiastic teacher and this transcends into his private tuition too. Sessions are engaging, lively and enjoyable and always bespoke to the needs of the tutees and their own progression pace. Within sessions there is always a real desire to see the ‘lightbulb moments’ and ensure any barriers are broken down and children make accelerated progress.

Outside of tuition, Mr Eastes is a teaching author alongside his friend and former colleague as part of the ‘Dynamic Deputies’ as well as running their own successful teaching podcast and creating many quality teaching resources used both in classrooms nationally and internationally.

Mr Eastes specialises in the 11+ exam preparation and Upper Key Stage 2 tuition.

Miss Turner

An enthusiastic and committed Primary Teacher with over 20 years’ experience. She has a passion for teaching and has prepared students across the primary phase for end of year examinations.

Miss Turner motivates students to overcome academic challenges in an encouraging and supportive way.

Miss Turner specialises in teaching Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2.

Miss Turner provides 1:1 sessions for those students who prefer to have individual support to develop subject confidence.
